Dr. Ruff practices out of West End Plastic Surgery, located in Washington, D.C., of which he is the founder. He is affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, as well as Georgetown University Hospital, where he serves as assistant professor of clinical plastic surgery for the School of Medicine.
Dr. Ruff is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Washingtonian Top Doctor.
Dr. Ruff earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed residencies in general surgery and surgical critical care at Washington Hospital Center, where he served as chief administrative resident, spending 6 years there and earning the Gould Award. Then, in July of 1999, Dr. Ruff went on to complete a fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center, where he earned the Chairman’s Prize. During his education, Dr. Ruff volunteered his time to help cleft lip and palate patients at Operation Smile and accompanied the InterfaceUCSD medical mission group on eight trips to Mexico, performing reconstructive procedures on children in underserved areas. Dr. Ruff currently works with The Future of Nicaragua Foundation and founded Wrinkle Erase for the Cause, a non-profit event that raises money for breast cancer research.

Dr. Rodriguez joins the Nayah Institute from Las Vegas and brings over 30 years of experience in aesthetic surgery to Abu Dhabi. He is double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Rodriguez has worked or trained in a number of international locations and in many fine institutions throughout the United States. In his medical career he has seen or treated in excess of 100,000 patients and hundreds of hours each year are spent in continuing medical education to bring his patients the latest advances in the field of plastic surgery. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Rodriguez has worked alongside colleagues from dozens of countries on four continents in a huge range of environments.

Dr. Khairalla was featured as a “Top Doctor of Plastic Surgery” in Maryland’s Bethesda Magazine and distinguished as a Castle Connelly Top Doctor in the Baltimore-Washington area. He has been awarded America’s Top Plastic Surgeon by the Consumers’ Research Council of America and received the Peoples’ Choice Award for Top Plastic Surgeon.

Dr. Waked joins the Nayah Institute, bringing his expertise in advanced laparoscopic bariatric surgery to Abu Dhabi. He is board certified in General Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the Association of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.
Dr. Waked graduated from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon in 2006. He completed his general surgery residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital, VCU Campus in Virginia with multiple awards and completed his fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2013.
Dr. Waked performs all his weight loss surgeries using half-inch incisions (laparoscopic surgery) resulting in decreased pain, faster recovery and a shorter hospital stay (one to two nights).
Dr. Waked was recently recognized as a Top Doctor for 2017 by Delaware Today.

Julia is a highly talented and experienced business professional with more than 20 years of management experience in the medical practice industry. She is a successful and recognized manager of medical facilities with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction, and expertise in directing skilled teams through daily operations.
Julia was the patient care manager for an internationally renowned surgery center in Washington D.C. and maintained AAAHC accreditation. She successfully organized the entire accreditation process for the practice and AAAHC granted accreditation four times (the 3-year maximum each time) during the last 15 years.
Julia has lectured throughout Europe and Latin America on Practice Management and Marketing. She has also published an article on “Successful Practice Management” in the Dermatology Journal. In 2006, she has been awarded in Japan as the Largest Contributor to Cosmetic Surgery Practices and Advances in Management.
During the past 5 years, Julia has become more and more involved with fundraising activities for the various foundation and charity boards she sits on.
